Shining Stars

15 May

These totally look like pictures from a coloring book to me. Although maybe I should’ve colored outside of the lines a bit more. :)
Stars (6) WLcopyI purposely colored these stars in a little sloppily and streaky. I really did want it to resemble crayon. I’m really pleased with it. It’s a happy little mani.

Stars (8) WLcopyI used Sally Hansen White On and acrylics to create this design.

Cartoon Skittles Nails

1 May

I looove Cutepolish’s cartoon nails. I’m totally sporting that look on my toes right now. I wasn’t even going to attempt to outline my nails with my left hand, so this is what you get.

CartoonSkittles (9) WLcopyHalf-ish cartoon nails. Without the outline, these are crazy easy; even with your non-dominant hand.

CartoonSkittles (12) WLcopyFor this design I used all the same colors as my bow skittles. I was wearing the two designs together, so I wanted them to coordinate. I used Sinful Colors Savage, Timbleberry and Innocent, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Wet ‘n Wild On a Trip.  I used white acrylic for the accents.

Bows Skittles Nails

29 Apr

Aren’t these the cutest little bows?  These are very sweet and girly.
BowSkittles (7) WLcopyI started with Sally Hansen Disco Ball to give each nail a little sparkle. My bows were done with Sinful Colors Savage, Timbleberry and Innocent, Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow and Wet ‘n Wild On a Trip with black acrylic for the outlines.

Shower Curtain Nails

26 Apr

Yes, this was inspired by my new shower curtain. I don’t think I really did it justice. The curtain is much cuter than my nails are.
Frills (5) WLcopyI started with NYX Girls White then used Julep Vera and American Apparel Butter to build the design.

Art Deco Nails

25 Apr

I want to like this mani more than I actually do. Maybe it’s the fact that I did it with my non-dominant hand so it’s a little too far from perfect. Or maybe it’s my color choices.

ArtDeco_yellow_teal_gold (3) WLcopyI feel like Color Club Gossip Column is showing a lot darker here than it actually is. It’s a fantastic deep teal color, but it seems more like a navy over American Apparel Butter. My gold (or is it more bronze?) outlines are acrylic. I may try this again with a different color palate. We’ll see.
