Who watches Game of Thrones?  Not me. :/ I sure do hear a lot about it lately though. When I saw Chelsea’s mani for our Twinsie Tuesday post this week I just had to try for myself. She did her mani from this tutorial. What a fun technique!

For this design I used Revlon Rainforest and a couple different glitter nail art polishes I have. I love the bumpy texture of this design. It really does lend itself to a scaled look. In retrospect I wish I’d used a nice thin top coat so as to preserve the texture. After I took my glossy pictures, I used a matte top coat because I don’t think most reptiles are shiny, but the crappy matte top coat I used sucks and it didn’t look matted at all. Oh well.

Is this a technique you have or will try? I’m thinking up more applications for it. I always love techniques that don’t require me to clean a brush or spend an hour cleaning up my fingers (ie water marble or splatter).

This is another one of those random designs that is just born out of having no direction when you bust out the polish.

I did this with my left hand, so of course I wanted to keep it simple.  I love the irregular pattern of it.  Each nail is unique and had a little bit of naked nail peeking out.

I used China Glaze For Audrey, OPI The “It” Color, Sinful Colors Hazard, Orly Green Apple and Milani Rad purple.

I wish I’d seen this post back in February. This would have been a super cute Valentine’s Day manicure. It’s pretty cute and happy anyway.Because it’s all dots it was pretty darn easy to do it with my left hand. I used a white base and all of my colors are acrylics. It reminds me of the the colorblind tests. This could be done in so many different colors. I love it!

How cute are these flowers? I saw Chalkboard Nails picture on Pinterest and loved it! I tried it right away.
The petals were just done with the bottle brush. Easy peasy. Had I watched Mr. Candiipants’ tutorial before I did these, I would have been 100% bottle brush. Oh well.

These are so happy and seasonal. I love them. I will totally do these again. Next time I’ll try it the Candiipants way though.  For this design I used OPI Do You Lilac It, Sinful Colors Hazard, Orly Green Apple, China Glaze For Audrey and OPI The “It” Color.

Is this a design you will try or have already tried? It’s one that just about any skill level can pull off. Give it a shot.

Again with the pastels? Yes! Easter equals pastels to me, so yeah, more pastels.
I don’t know why I keep attempting fishtail braids with my left hand. It’s hard. I’m pleased with the happy look of it though.
