Brick Nails
1 Jun
I love these nails! I’ve had bricks on my “To Do” list for a while now. Why did I wait so long to try it? Oh wait, that’s right, it took forever! That’s why!
Of course I didn’t anticipate that. I initially thought I would start with red and fill in the grout lines with a thin, striping brush after the fact. I decided against it because I didn’t want the lines to be too straight. I wanted it to look imperfect just like real brick.
I started with a base color of Essie Power Clutch then sponged some Sally Hansen Wet Cement over the top of it virgated effect. To make the bricks I went back in with Julep Boris & Nicole and a small dotting tool. I love the dimension! I’m keeping this one on for a few days. I love it and it was a ton of work, so it deserves to stay put for a while.
Who would’ve thought that brick nail art would have been so fantastic! This mani was super easy to photograph too. Bonus!
