Violet Beauregard

I had an anonymous fan email me a bit ago and ask me to do some Violet Beauregard nails to go with Violet Halloween costume and Oompa Loompa nails. I will admit that I thought it was a bit of an odd request in the middle of spring.
You all know who Violet is, right? From Willy Wonka? She’s the one who’s obsessed with chewing gum and turns in to a blueberry then has to be rolled away by Oompa Loompas for juicing. I did a little white, sponging under each nail to try to get a little round effect. I don’t know if it worked or not. I sure do love this blue though!
I showed you this blue polish last week; NYX Ink. It’s a gorgeous cobalt blue jelly. I’m in love with it. I used China Glaze White on White for the sponging underneath. The red is acrylic and the buckle is China Glaze Platinum Silver.
I doubled up on my base coat to prevent staining. I mostly worked. I still had some light staining around the edges. And I would like Anonymous to know, I painted these nails on May 8th.

At Halloween we joked that my Oompa Loompa nails were them carrying me off to be juiced.

I love this style that you did. I usually do all blue even toes (Midnight blue). Can you please email me a tutorial of this for both fingers and toes step-by-step because I cannot follow some of your ways.

I just realized what this also reminds me of. I was watching football since I am a big fan of the Raiders and I saw that this is pretty close to the New York (football) Giants helmet design.
