Crackle is Backle

Why do some loath crackle polishes so much? I think they’re fun and haven’t really done enough of them. China Glaze Fault Line was the first crackle I bought. I freaking love this combination!!
I started with a base color of Sinful Colors Aquamarine, a nice bright blue. Then I layered Icing Bedazzled over it to give it some sparkle and crackle away. It’s gorgeous! Seriously, I can’t stop admiring this mani. On my ring finger I brushed the polish from side to side, rather than the traditional cuticle to tip stroke. The resulting look was a bit different, which I liked, but disliked that it made it hard to get the polish close the the sides of my nail. I liked the effect none the less.
I also really like that the formula for this crackle is a bit on the thick side. I like a thick coat so I end up with a big, fat crack as opposed to a fine crackle effect. The thick formula made it easy to achieve the look I wanted.
I don’t think I could come up with a better color combination than this. I sure will try though.

I’m so glad to see crackle backle because I love it!!! I seriously do not think you can have too many crackle polishes!! This is lovely!
Ha ha… crackle backle. I’m not sure where that came from. Sometimes it’s hard to think of a title for a post. I love crackles too. It’s an effect you can’t get any other way.
I still love it. My favourite combination might be pink with lime green crackle. Or maybe turquoise with white crackle. I really like blue with purple crackle as well – but I don’t have any purple crackle
anyhow – fun post title!!
